3. Thomas HACKETT (Thomas , Thomas ) was born 1, 2 about 1685 in of Middlesex County, Virginia. He died 3, 4 after 1757 in of Saint Margaret's Parish, Caroline County, Virginia.

In 1724, Thomas Hackett, Junior was bequeathed one third of the estate of Patrick Kelly of Middlesex County, Virginia. The father of Thomas Hackett was Kelly's executor.

On 17 August 1725, there was a land conveyance in Caroline County, Virginia from Hugh Drysdale to Thomas Hackett/Hackitt of Middlesex County regarding 40 Shillings for 400 acres on branches of the south fork of Polecat, southwest of the branches of North Anna in Saint John's Parish, King William County. The property was described adjacent to Robert Holmes' line and Robert Chandler's line. Virginia Patent Book 12, page 260)

John Cheadle and Thomas Hackett were granted 400 acres in Caroline County on 2 September 1728 (Caroline County, Virginia Land Grants, Book 13, page 276). In 1732 Hacket's corner line and Chandler's corner line were mentioned in Caroline County in a grant to William Carr of 2530 acres in Saint Margaret's Parish. A Thomas Hackett was in Hanover County, Virginia in 1740 (Virginia Land Patents Book 18 and 19). On 23 July 1757, Thomas Hackett and Mary, his wife, of Saint Margaret's Parish, Caroline County, for £40, conveyed 400 acres in Fredericksville Parish, Louisa County, to Charles Goodman. The witnesses were Garrett Hackett, Bartlett Mills and Joseph Goodman. (Louisa County, Virginia Deed Book: B, Page: 209)

Thomas married 1 Mary GARRETT on 28 Nov 1714 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia. Mary was born about 1694.

Her name in the record is Mary Jarrett.

They had the following children:

  4 M i Martin HACKETT was born 1 on 15 Jul 1715 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia. He was christened 2 on 7 Aug 1715 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia. He died 3 in 1792 in Caroline County, Virginia.

Micajah's Chiles' will was proved in Caroline County, Virginia on 8 November 1734 by Martin Hackett and Ann Terrill (Order Book 1733-1740, page 160). Martin's wife may have been a daughter of Micajah Chiles.
In a grant to Henry B. Shiflet on 1 August 1854, in Greene County, Virginia, a 1763 Patent of Martin Hackett was mentioned.

On 28 March 1764, in Orange County, Virginia Deed Book 13, pages 498, 499, John Ogg and Mary his wife conveyed to Andrew Shepherd & Company, a tract of 283 acres lying in Albemarle County that Ogg had purchased from Mary Davis and William Morriss. It joined the lands of Robert Thomson and Martin Hatheth (probably Hackett) and was at that time in the possession of Thomas and John Shiflett and Thomas Snow.

He died 2 on 11 Nov 1723 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia. He was buried 3 on 13 Nov 1723 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia.

  8 M v Chickley HACKETT was born 1 on 21 Apr 1725 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia. He was christened on 2 May 1725 in Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia.

Chickley Hackett must have died young, as there are no records for him.
